Downtown Nashville Audio Tours
Downtown Nashville packs more history per block than almost anywhere in Tennessee. In a few minutes on foot you can stand where the city was founded, where a war turned, and where the fight for the vote and for civil rights played out. Our audio tours turn those blocks into a story you can walk through at your own pace.
History
This is where Nashville began in 1779 at Fort Nashborough on the Cumberland. Two blocks away, the Tennessee State Capitol crowns the hill where lawmakers cast the vote that gave American women the right to vote in 1920. Walk a little further and you are standing where students changed the country at downtown lunch counters in 1960. The whole story is here, layered street on top of street.
Practicle Notes
Downtown is very walkable. Parking is the only real hurdle, so plan ahead. Mornings are quieter and better for photos.
